Mole National Park is home to over 90 species of mammals including African elephants, antelopes, warthogs, buffalos, monkeys, and many more. It is also a prime location for birdwatching, featuring over 330 bird species.

Visitors can engage in walking safaris, morning and evening game drives, and explore cultural sites like the nearby Larabanga Mosque.

The best time for wildlife viewing is from November to March during the dry season, when animals congregate around waterholes. Mole National Park is about a 3-hour drive from Tamale, which has daily flights from Accra. Traveling by road from Accra takes approximately 12 to 14 hours. Recommended are STC and VIP coaches. However, there are also flights from Accra to Wa (airport) or Kumasi airport, if you like to discover Ghana more. Check here for more details.

You can stay at the Mole Motel within the park for stunning views or explore various eco-lodges and guesthouses in the area catering to different budgets. However, there are nearby reasonably priced hotels and guesthouses
